Winter Severity Index is a New Wave project from Rome by Simona Ferrucci, singer, guitarist and songwriter.
At the moment the well known dark ambient artist Mushy collaborates with Simona.
Winter Severity Index was born as a traditional band, formed by four young women in 2009. During 2010 the band published a self-released EP ( Winter Severity Index), distributed by AF Music, now almost sold out. In the same year and in 2011 the band received lots of good reviews all over Europe and performed gigs in Italy, in Berlin and in Lisbon, at the Graveyard Fest, sharing the stage with important artists of the new wave scene like Charles de Goal, Phantom Vision, Soviet Soviet.
In January 2012 the project took the present form, after the decision of two old members to leave the band.
Simona and Mushy continued as a duo and published the new track Embracing the Void on the DEATH # DISCO Compilation Volume II with artists such as Xeno and Oaklander, Automelodi, Frustration, Die Selektion, Dream Affair and many more.
On December 2012 Simona, in a special ensemble with Alessandra Romeo, ex Bohemien, now on NO FUN with Giovanni Staccone and Marco Caterpillar, shared the stage with The Chameleons Vox.
On February the 16th Simona and Mushy will perform in Berlin again and during spring a new EP will be published.

CNC has always considered himself as an unclassificable and eclectic artist. The main goal of this project is to fuse cinematic colours, rock melodies, dark atmospheres, electronic urban grooves and world music sounds. The visionary lyrics and the unique sound of the voice of CNC do the rest. So, after years of intense music research and many collaborations he decides to get out his first solo production. The first official album was produced by CalmnChaos himself and mixed by the legendary and grammy nominated music producer/mixer Tim Palmer (David Bowie, U2, Tears for Fears, The Cure, Pearl Jam, Robert Plant and many others) at 62 Studios in Austin and mastered by top-class sound engineer Justin Shturtz (Green Day, Alice in Chains, The Neptunes, Ray Charles) in one of the most famous mastering house in the world: the Sterling Sound in New York City.
