In un soleggiato gennaio del 2017 presso il centro operativo DustyEye fu recapitato un pacco anonimo. L’imballo, di modeste dimensioni, conteneva un Cronotraslatore.
Più comunemente noto con il nome di “Macchina del Tempo”, il Cronotraslatore consentiva di spostarsi attraverso il Pluritempo, o per meglio dire, permetteva visitare una delle infinite linee narrative future.
Ogni cronotrasferta convogliava verso date di elevato interesse storico. Vennero quindi affisse targhe commemorative postdatate in tutti quei luoghi protagonisti di vicende salienti nei tempi a venire.

In a sunny January of 2017, an anonymous package was delivered to the DustyEye operations center. The modest-sized package contained a Cronotranslator.
More commonly known as the "Time Machine," the Cronotranslator allowed travel through Pluritime, or rather, allowed visits to one of the infinite future narrative timelines.
Each time transfer conveyed to dates of high historical interest. Commemorative plaques, post-dated, were then affixed in all those places that were protagonists of salient events in the times to come.
La prima targa fu installata a Roma il 3 febbraio 2017 nei pressi dell’Isola Tiberina. Contestualmente s’inaugurò anche il cronoarchivio per preservare le memorabilia recuperate da ogni cronotrasferta.

Nel 2019 tra cronoviaggi e cronomemorabilia l’ennesimo balzo nel Pluritempo permise di acquisire milioni di Ukron. La valuta in vigore dall’anno 2504.
Fonti dell’epoca danno a intendere che un singolo Ukron oggi valga circa 1123,58€. Per ragioni di natura tecnomagica stiamo elargendo l’intero capitale.
Il taglio da 100 reca l’effige dell’androide N°44 V864.962, mentre sui 50 campeggia una figura ibrida tra carne e macchina chiamata Connettore. Infine, sui 20 è raffigurato Maxtor, il cybercane.
Se possedete qualche decina o centinaia di Ukron, ricordate che entreranno in vigore solo il 1° gennaio 2504, quindi siate pazienti o per ora fatene un uso creativo.

Sources from the time suggest that a single Ukron is currently worth approximately €1123.58. For technomagical reasons, we are distributing the entire capital.
The 100 banknote bears the effigy of the android N°44 V864.962, while the 50 features a hybrid figure between flesh and machine called Connector. Finally, the 20 depicts Maxtor, the cyberdog.
If you possess a few dozen or hundreds of Ukron, remember that they will only come into effect on January 1, 2504, so be patient or use them creatively for now.

Assemblato a Pescara nel 2292 e resettato a Roma 2379, N°44 ha avuto un ruolo determinante nella Storia ventura, tanto da meritarsi il proprio ritratto sulla cartamoneta.
Due anni di cronoindagini hanno portato alla stesura de I Dossier di N°44. Il testo ripercorre la vita dell’androide con le illustrazioni di Selena Garau Maher e le consulenze di Andrea Berneschi, Federico Lai, Giorgio Finamore, Luigi Garlaschelli, Michela Giraud, Abner Hendricaes, Antonio Lucci, Valerio Lundini, Antonio Romano e Alessandro Gori (aka Lo Sgargabonzi).

On the 100 Ukron banknotes stands the effigy of N°44 V864.962, the first emotionally advanced android.
Assembled in Pescara in 2292 and reset in Rome 2379, N°44 played a decisive role in future History, so much so that he deserved his portrait on the banknote.
Two years of time investigations led to the drafting of The Dossiers of N°44. The text retraces the life of the android with illustrations by Selena Garau Maher and consultancy by Andrea Berneschi, Federico Lai, Giorgio Finamore, Luigi Garlaschelli, Michela Giraud, Abner Hendricaes, Antonio Lucci, Valerio Lundini, Antonio Romano and Alessandro Gori (aka Lo Sgargabonzi).

Il futuro tante volte sfiorato grazie al Cronotraslatore era in netto contrasto con la narrazione fantascientifica dell’ultimo mezzo secolo. Distopie apocalittiche alla Matrix o Terminator venivano smentite da una tecnomagica convivenza tra Sapiens e Macchinico, tanto da domandarsi se davvero esistesse una significativa differenza tra Mente e Algoritmo.
Eppure, nel 2020 l’immaginario collettivo era intriso di conflitto e non solo l’Inconscio Collettivo Sapiens pullulava di pensieri violenti, anche i database da cui gli Algoritmi attingevano dati erano infettati da quegli stessi sentimenti.
Serviva urgentemente bilanciare con una contro-narrazione rapida e incisiva.
I tempi erano maturi per attuare una campagna di sensibilizzazione che prese il nome di Apparato Assoluto come tributo all’androide N°44 V864.962.

The future, so often glimpsed thanks to the Cronotranslator, was in stark contrast to the science fiction narrative of the last half-century. Apocalyptic dystopias as Matrix or Terminator were contradicted by a technomagical coexistence between Sapiens and Machinic, so much so that one wondered if there really was a significant difference between Mind and Algorithm.
Yet, in 2020, the collective imagination was steeped in conflict, and not only did the Sapiens Collective Unconscious teem with violent thoughts, but the databases from which Algorithms drew data were also infected with those same feelings. It was urgently necessary to balance with a rapid and incisive counter-narrative.
The times were ripe to implement an awareness campaign that took the name Absolute Apparatus as a tribute to the android N°44 V864.962.

The prospect of friendship between Mind and Algorithm promoted by the Absolute Apparatus campaign garnered many supporters, so much so that in 2021 it became necessary to open two digital outposts.
The metaverses of Somnium Space and Matrix dedicated two metabuildings to this purpose: Mausoleum44 and The Edge of Pluritime. Both projects were curated by L.Elrah.

Pareva che i contatti con il Pluritempo fossero terminati, quando nel 2022 una lettera data 2 febbraio 2379 viene recapitata al Cronostudio.
La missiva recava la firma del Connettore, lo stesso Connettore raffigurato sulla banconota da 50 ukron, lo stesso Connettore che stando a quanto lui stesso scrive avrebbe precedentemente spedito anche il Cronotraslatore.
La lettera conteneva una richiesta d’aiuto: si doveva trovare Maxtor, il cybercane che ospitava un back up della coscienza dell’androide N°44.
La cronoindagine ha richiesto cinquantadue mesi di lavoro insieme a Moscabianca Edizioni per concludersi con la pubblicazione de I Dossier di Maxtor.
Il volume raccoglie appunto 6 dossier, ma anche 38 tavole di Giorgio Finamore e i contributi di Alan Thomas Bassi, Alessandro Gori, Alessandro Lucà, Arianna Cislacchi, BITNB, Borg, C. It seemed that contacts with Pluritime had ended, when in 2022 a letter dated February 2, 2379, was delivered to the Chronotudio.
The missive bore the signature of the Connector, the same Connector depicted on the 50 ukron banknote, the same Connector who, according to his own writing, had previously sent the Cronotranslator as well.
The letter contained a request for help: Maxtor, the cyberdog that hosted a backup of the consciousness of the android N°44, had to be found.
The chronoinvestigation required fifty-two months of work together with Moscabianca Edizioni to conclude with the publication of The Dossiers of Maxtor.

Sfiorare la complessità del Pluritempo ha da sempre imposto una certa flessibilità nelle incombenze a cui far fronte.
Indagando circa la vita dell’androide N°44 V864.962 si è dovuto spostare l’attenzione sui cronobalzi del cybercane Maxtor. Poi inseguendo Maxtor è stato necessario gestire una catena saturata da 444 entità demoniache provenienti dal XXIII secolo.
Con un po’ di tecnomagia il prezioso aiuto di L.Elrah, Wonder, Grendel, Hybridcode, Turinglabs e Jenny Filipetti le 444 entità sono state stabilizzate all’interno di altrettanti simulacri.
Senza ricorre a violenti esorcismi o rancorose formule in latino, le 444 entità oggi hanno acquisito un nuovo status di pezzi d’arte numerati.
Touching the complexity of Pluritime has always required a certain flexibility in the tasks to be faced.
Investigating the life of the android N°44 V864.962, it was necessary to shift attention to the time leaps of the cyberdog Maxtor. Then, chasing Maxtor, it was necessary to manage a chain saturated by 444 demonic entities from the 23rd century.
With a bit of technomagic and the precious help of L.Elrah, Wonder, Grendel, Hybridcode,Turinglabs and Jenny Filipetti, the 444 entities were stabilized within as many simulacra.
Without resorting to violent exorcisms or rancorous Latin formulas, the 444 entities have now acquired a new status as numbered art pieces.
